The Tooro of Uganda, numbering approximately 1,450,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Bantu people of western Uganda whose kingdom was founded in 1830 when Prince Kaboyo Olimi I broke away from Bunyoro to establish an independent Babiito dynasty, briefly reabsorbed in 1876 before its monarchy was abolished in 1967 and restored in 1993. They mostly adhere to Roman Catholicism and Tooro is their primary language.
