They are an ethnolinguistic subgroup of the Tuareg Berber, indigenous to the Kidal Region of northeastern MaliTamasheq They are an Diaspora people, in the Tuareg people cluster of the Arab Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Islam - Folk. They primarily speak Tamasheq.
