The Akwapim of Ghana

The Akwapim of Ghana, numbering approximately 923,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a confederacy of Guan and Akan peoples in Ghana's Akwapim mountains, formed when the Guan state of Larteh joined the Akyem state of Akropong to resist the Akwamu kingdom, later named thousand groups by their defeated rival. They mostly adhere to Neo-Pentecostalism and Akan is their primary language.
