They are one of at least eleven Pygmy groups in Central Africa They are an Indigenous people, in the Pygmy people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Christianity - Protestantism. They primarily speak Yaka (Central African Republic).
