They are an ethnolinguistic subgroup of the Kuki people indigenous to the Chin Hills of Myanmar and the Indian state of Manipur. They are an Indigenous people in the Kuki-Chin (Zo) people cluster of the Southeast Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Zo and their primary religion is Protestantism.
