Equatorial Guinea (GNQ)

Equatorial Guinea, on Africa’s west coast, is a blend of Spanish colonial heritage, tropical islands, and dense mainland forests. The people are proud of their Fang and Bubi roots, and Spanish is the official language. Roman Catholicism is the dominant faith, but traditional beliefs and rituals are still practiced, especially in rural areas. Spiritual life is often marked by colorful processions, drumming, and the honoring of ancestors.
