The Gambia (GMB)

The Gambia, Africa’s smallest mainland country, follows the winding Gambia River from the Atlantic coast inland. Gambians are known for their friendliness, kora music, and colorful markets. Islam is the main faith, and daily life is punctuated by the call to prayer and community gatherings at the mosque. Traditional griots (storytellers) play a key role in preserving history and spiritual wisdom through music and oral tradition.
