The Kono of Guinea

The Kono of Guinea, numbering approximately 120,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a community of subsistence farmers descended from Mali-Guinean migrants who settled in Guinea in the sixteenth century. They are an Indigenous people, in the Mande people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Ethnoreligion - Animism. They primarily speak Kono (Guinea).
