The Pangwal Buddhists of India

The Pangwal Buddhists of India, numbering approximately 2,100 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a small sub‑group within the Pangwal (or Pangwala) tribal community of Pangi Valley, located in the Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh. They are also known as Bhatori. They are an Indigenous people in the South Asian Tribal people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Pangwali and their primary religion is Tibetan Buddhism.
