They are a Han Chinese subgroup whose ancestral homeland is the Hakka-speaking region of southwest China and can also be known as 客家人. They are an Indigenous people, in the Chinese people cluster of the East Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Ethnoreligion - Chinese Folk Religion. They primarily speak Hakka Chinese.
