The Phongku of Laos

The Phongku of Laos, numbering approximately 1,800 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a small, little-known subgroup of the Phunoi living mainly in remote mountain areas of northern Laos. They are an Indigenous people in the Other Tibeto-Burmese people cluster of the Tibetan Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Phunoi and their primary religion is Folk Buddhism.
