The Makong Pua of Laos, numbering approximately 1,600 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are described as a Pua subgroup of the So Makon people of Laos who belong to the broader Mon-Khmer tradition and maintain a distinct community identity within the So-speaking populations of southern Laos They are an Indigenous people, with So Makon as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Mon-Khmer people cluster of the Southeast Asian Peoples. They mostly adhere to Animism and Sô is their primary language.
