The Sompura Salat of India

The Sompura Salat of India, numbering approximately 22,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a subgroup of the Sompura Brahmin of Gujarat once defiled through Jain philanthropy, distinguished from the Sompura Brahmin proper. Temple construction, masonry, and idol-making remain their principal occupations today. They are an Indigenous people in the Brahmin people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Gujarati and their primary religion is Hinduism.
