The Sanchia of India

The Sanchia of India, numbering approximately 13,500 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a caste community of Rajasthan also known as Kutchwandh and Nat. The Sanchia were formerly nomadic performers who played music, danced, and exhibited rope acrobatics in the tradition called nadi karna. They speak Mewari and are now largely settled. They are an Indigenous people in the Rajasthani people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Mewari and their primary religion is Hinduism.
