The Vilyagaras of India

The Vilyagaras of India, numbering approximately 500 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a caste community of Dakshin Kannad district in Karnataka, speaking Kannada and Tulu. The Vilyagara are non-vegetarian with six rishi gotras, cross-cousin marriage permitted, and divorce not permitted but widower remarriage allowed. They are an Indigenous people in the Kshatriya people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Kannada and their primary religion is Hinduism.
