The Citrakathi of India, numbering approximately 750 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Maharashtrian community of picture showmen and puppeteers, also known as Bowlekar and Thakkar, who trace their migration from Rajasthan where they served as spies for the Maratha rulers. They are an Indigenous people in the Marathi-Konkani people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Marathi and their primary religion is Hinduism.
