The Pagativeshagallu of India

The Pagativeshagallu of India, numbering approximately 500 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a folk-drama community of Andhra Pradesh also called Bahurupulu, performing the centuries-old Pagativesham art once patronized by the Sultans of Golkonda. Traveling folk performance and alms-seeking remain their livelihood. They are an Indigenous people in the Telugu people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Telugu and their primary religion is Hinduism.
