The Chote of India

The Chote of India, numbering approximately 4,100 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are described as a Scheduled Tribe of Manipur also known as Purum, organized into nine patrilineal clans, traditionally dependent on shifting and wet cultivation, and largely Christian today while still worshipping traditional deities They are an Indigenous people, with Chote / Chothe (tribe) as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Tibetan people cluster of the Tibetan Peoples. Their primary religion is Protestantism. They primarily speak Naga, Chothe.
