The Salivahanam of India

The Salivahanam of India, numbering approximately 3,700 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a subgroup of the Kulala potter cluster in Chennai and Tiruvallur districts, Tamil Nadu, claiming descent from a Brahmin father and Kulala mother. They now trade rather than make pottery, and are both Shaivite and Vaishnavite. They are an Indigenous people in the Telugu people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Telugu and their primary religion is Hinduism.
