The Champta of India, numbering approximately 4,400 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a community of India, Gujarat (principally in Kathiawar) and Rajasthan (Banswara, Dungarpur and Udaipur districts) and can also be known as Champta, Chamta, Champta-Salat. They are an Indigenous people, in the Other South Asian people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Hinduism. They primarily speak Gujarati.
