The Sajalong of India

The Sajalong of India, numbering approximately 7,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a Scheduled Tribe of West Kameng district, Arunachal Pradesh, also called Miji, believed linked to the historic Ahom kings of Assam. Shifting cultivation remains primary, supplemented by hunting. They mostly adhere to Animism and Sajalong is their primary language.
