The Wandharo of India

The Wandharo of India, numbering approximately 1,900 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a community of Saurashtra, Gujarat, their name recalling their traditional craft of designing sword handles for maharajas of past centuries. Sharpening knives and petty business now support most families among this landless community. They are an Indigenous people in the Gujarati people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Gujarati and their primary religion is Hinduism.
