The Bhodala of India

The Bhodala of India, numbering approximately 14,500 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are described as a Sunni Muslim fishing and seafaring community of Kutch in Gujarat, whose name means seaman or fisherman. Organized into seventeen clans of equal status, they worship Darya-e-pir, the chief saint of the sea, at Mundra They are an Indigenous people, with Bhodala as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Gujarati people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Sunni Islam. They primarily speak Kacchi.
