The Gauli of India, numbering approximately 17,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are described as a cattle-breeding community of Karnataka also known as Gowli, migrated from the former Bombay Presidency, claiming Rajput status while traditionally raising buffaloes and cows as their primary occupation They are an Indigenous people, with Gaoli as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Marathi-Konkani people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism. They primarily speak Marathi.
