The Basudeva of India

The Basudeva of India, numbering approximately 18,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Hindu community of wandering devotional singers concentrated in Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra who traditionally perform bhajans in return for alms. They trace their name and origin to Vasudeo, the father of Lord Krishna. They are an Indigenous people in the Hindi people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Hindi and their primary religion is Hinduism.
