The Vanjha of India

The Vanjha of India, numbering approximately 22,500 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a weaving community of Saurashtra and other parts of Gujarat, claiming descent from Kshatriya who adopted weaving after a vow to the goddess Hinglaj Mata. This craft continues, alongside tailoring and government service. They mostly adhere to Hinduism and Gujarati is their primary language.
