The Nairy of India, numbering approximately 500 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are described as a little-known community of Udupi taluk in Dakshina Kannada district, Karnataka, believed to have migrated from Kerala as agricultural laborers. Petty business and wage labor now supplement farming They are an Indigenous people, with Nairi as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Kanarese people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. They mostly adhere to Hinduism and Kannada is their primary language.
