The Central Chatino of United States, numbering approximately 2,600 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are an ethnolinguistic subgroup of the Chatino, a family of indigenous Mesoamerican languages classified under the Zapotecan branch of the Oto-Manguean language family and can also be known as Sierra Occidental Chatino, Chatino de San Marcos Zacatepec, Chatino de la Zona Alta Occidental, Cha’t-An. They are an Diaspora people, in the Zapotec people cluster of the Latin-Caribbean Americans affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Christianity - Roman Catholicism. They primarily speak Spanish.
