The Pamidi of India

The Pamidi of India, numbering approximately 5,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Scheduled Caste of Srikakulam and Vizianagaram districts, Andhra Pradesh, also called Paidi, traditionally weavers of cotton blankets and farm laborers. Weaving continues alongside farm labor. They are an Indigenous people in the Odia people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Odia and their primary religion is Hinduism.
