While not indigenous to Nepal, the Chamars have a significant presence there and are considered one of the marginalized communities. They are an Indigenous people, in the Chamar people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Hinduism. They primarily speak Nepali.
