The Sorgir of India, numbering approximately 1,100 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a community of Haryana and Punjab, their name recalling the traditional extraction of saline soil called shora for salt-petre-making. Daily-wage and contract labor have replaced this declining craft. They mostly adhere to Hinduism and Panjabi is their primary language.
