The Ratal of India, numbering approximately 2,800 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a distinct Hindu Scheduled Caste (Dalit) community found primarily in Jammu & Kashmir (especially the Jammu region) of northern India. They are an Indigenous people in the Punjabi people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Dogri and their primary religion is Hinduism.
