The Tharua of India

The Tharua of India, numbering approximately 650 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a scheduled Hindu tribe of India, inhabiting northern Odisha, especially the Balasore district. Their traditional occupation is pottery, stone-cutting and engraving, but in recent decades they have taken up cultivation. They mostly adhere to Hinduism and Odia is their primary language.
