The Madrasi of India, numbering approximately 93,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a generic term for migrants from the four southern states settled in the Andaman Islands, Assam, and Kolkata, encompassing many distinct castes and languages. Government service and business are their principal occupations. They are an Indigenous people in the Tamil people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Tamil and their primary religion is Hinduism.
