The Layab of Bhutan

The Layab of Bhutan, numbering approximately 1,600 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are an ethnolinguistic community of Bhutan, North Punakha District, around Laya; Gasa District; Thimphu District, Lingzhi gewog and can also be known as Layakha. They are an Indigenous people, in the South Asian Buddhist people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Buddhism - Tibetan. They primarily speak Layakha.
