The Matpa of Bhutan

The Matpa of Bhutan, numbering approximately 31,500 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a people of Bhutan, east, concentrated in the lower areas of Mongar District and can also be known as Rtsamangpaikha, Maphekha, Tsakalingpaikha, Tsamangpakha, Kursmadkha, Chocangacakha. They are an Indigenous people, in the South Asian Buddhist people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Buddhism - Tibetan. They primarily speak Chocangacakha.
