They are an ethnolinguistic community of Mexico and can also be known as Nahuatl, Náhuat de Pajapan, Isthmus-Mecayapan;Nahuatl, Isthmus Aztec-Mecayapan, Nahuatl, Isthmus-Cosoleacaque; Isthmus Aztec-Mecayapan; Náhuat de Pajapan; Cosoleacaque Aztec, Nahuatl, Isthmus-Pajapan, Isthmus-Pajapan; Nahuatl, Isthmus-Cosoleacaque, Cosoleacaque Aztec, Isthmus-Mecayapan. They are an Indigenous people, in the Aztec people cluster of the Latin-Caribbean Americans affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Christianity - Folk Catholicism. They primarily speak Spanish.
