They are a major Luo Nilotic ethnic group of southern Sudan, living on both banks of the Nile River in Malakal. They are an Diaspora people, in the Nilotic people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Ethnoreligion - African Traditional Religion. They primarily speak Shilluk.
