The Shoshoni of United States, numbering approximately 10,500 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are described as a Native American people who traditionally lived across a large area of the western United States. The Shoshoni were among the tribes encountered by the Lewis and Clark Expedition (1804-1806), and Sacagawea, a Shoshoni woman, helped guide the expedition They are an Indigenous people, with Shoshone as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the North American Indigenous people cluster of the North American Peoples. Their primary religion is Protestantism. They primarily speak Shoshoni.
