The Icelanders of Canada

The Icelanders of Canada, numbering approximately 3,100 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a North Germanic people of the North Atlantic whose culture has been shaped by Norse settlement, geographic isolation, maritime livelihoods, a strong literary tradition, and a close relationship with a dramatic volcanic environment. They mostly adhere to Unaffiliated and Icelandic is their primary language.

Pray specifically for the Icelanders of Canada

And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in him may have eternal life.
readJohn 3:14-15

Pray that the lost among them will look to the One lifted up on the cross, believing in Him and receiving eternal life.

No, I tell you; but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.
readLuke 13:3

Pray that the lost will repent and believe the gospel, for without it, they will perish.

Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.
readPsalm 51:10

Pray that as people place their faith in Christ, they will quickly repent when they sin and walk with clean hearts and right spirits as they grow in their relationship with the Lord.

Is it not to share your bread with the hungry and bring the homeless poor into your house; when you see the naked, to cover him, and not to hide yourself from your own flesh?
readIsaiah 58:7

As believers cross cultures to share the good news of Christ, pray that God will sustain them and grow their faith as He gives them the compassion necessary to minister well to those in need.
