They are a historic Native American nation from the southeastern U.S. The Chickasaw were forcibly removed to Oklahoma in the 1800s. Today, they continue as the Chickasaw Nation, a large, sovereign tribal government They are an Indigenous people, in the North American Indigenous people cluster of the North American Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Christianity - Protestantism. They primarily speak English.
