The Kashmiri of India, numbering approximately 2,990,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are an ethnolinguistic community of Kashmiri-speaking people whose ancestral roots trace to the disputed Kashmir region of northern India and Pakistan . They are an Indigenous people, in the Kashmiri people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Islam - Sunni. They primarily speak Kashmiri.
