They are described as a Nilo-Saharan ethnolinguistic group indigenous to the Blue Nile state in Sudan and the Upper Nile state in South Sudan They are an Indigenous people, with Uduk as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Nilotic people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Neo-Pentecostalism. They primarily speak Uduk.
