They are a Nilo-Saharan ethnolinguistic group indigenous to the Blue Nile state in Sudan and the Upper Nile state in South Sudan. They are an Indigenous people, in the Nilotic people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Christianity - Neo-Pentecostalism. They primarily speak Uduk.
