They are an indigenous tribe of approximately 175 Amerindians who once lived in the northwestern edge of the state of Mato Grosso, Brazil, near the border with Bolivia They are an Indigenous people, in the South American Indigenous people cluster of the Latin American and Caribbean Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Ethnoreligion - Animism. They primarily speak Gavião Do Jiparaná.
