The Parenga of India

The Parenga of India, numbering approximately 19,500 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Scheduled Tribe of Koraput district in Odisha also called Pareng Paroja, organized into clans such as Macha and Khila and following tribal religion. Settled cultivation and daily-wage labor remain their main occupations. They are an Indigenous people in the South Asian Tribal people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Oriya, Adivasi and their primary religion is Ethnoreligion.
