The Kadar of India

The Kadar of India, numbering approximately 87,500 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a small Hindu community of Bhagalpur, Godda, Dumka, and Sahibganj districts in Bihar traditionally engaged in cultivation, fishing, and day labor. The Kadar are mostly landless agricultural laborers today. They are an Indigenous people in the Bihari people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Angika and their primary religion is Folk Hinduism.
