The Amant of India, numbering approximately 245,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a caste community of Odia and Maithili speakers in Odisha and Bihar who traditionally worked as cultivators, servants and laborers. They are an Indigenous people in the Bihari people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Maithili and their primary religion is Hinduism.
