They are an ethnolinguistic group indigenous to the Chin State of Myanmar and India's northeastern states and can also be known as Lakher. They are an Indigenous people, in the Mizo people cluster of the Tibetan / Himalayan Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Christianity - Protestantism. They primarily speak Mara.
