The Kummara of India

The Kummara of India, numbering approximately 1,595,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a traditional potter community of South India, best known in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, and closely related to (and often classified with) the wider Kumhar / Kumbara / Kumbhar potter communities found across India. They are an Indigenous people in the Telugu people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Telugu and their primary religion is Hinduism.
